La belle poutine de la belle province.
C'est quoi la poutine ? | What is poutine?
1 month agoWent to Smoke’s Poutinery near St.Andrew’s station at the end of December.. Speaking of this place, I had a bad memory of this place before so I took the careful approach when I ordered.. haha
It wasn’t because of the food quality or anything similar but the portion really killed me.. I am known for having pretty big appetite but this place totally killed me.. I ordered large size before fearing that the regular would be TOO SMALL..but the large size was TOO BIG for me to handle.. I was able to finish it off but it was a torture to finish them w/o any drink… thanks to that I couldn’t eat anything for the rest of the day .. Of course.. I headed to the gym after that big meal to feel less guilty :P
So this time.. I decided to go safe, order ‘regular’ size instead of ‘large’.. The one in the right is the one I ordered, ‘Beef Peppercorn Poutine’ (similar to Poutine Jaco I had in La Banquise in Montreal) and the left one is my friend’s.. which is ‘Country Style Poutine’.. of course this place never failed me with the taste.. the portion was not small, nor filling but it was JUST RIGHT.. of course ordering the drink helped a bit.. lol
I enjoyed the quick lunch there before heading out to see ‘Disney On Ice’ @ Rogers Center nearby ;) I would say it again that this place is the best poutine place outside of Montreal lol (but I have been craving for La Banquise!!!!) :)
